My boss Louis came to me and said "hey, would you like to talk to Lorrie Morgan? We were asked if we'd like to interview her since she's playing the free concert next Monday at the Caloosa Sound Amphitheater." Now, asking me if I want to talk to Lorrie Morgan is the equivalent of asking a hungry dog if he wants a big ol' slab of meat. OF COURSE I want to talk to Lorrie Morgan! I am such a 90's Country FANATIC and she was, hands down, one of the Queens of 90's Country!

That one simple question from Louis sent me down the rabbit hole of Lorrie Morgan music. She had so many AMAZING songs back in the day- "Something In Red," "Good As I Was To You," "What Part Of No," "Half Enough," "Back In Your Arms Again," "Five Minutes," "I Didn't Know My Own Strength," and countless others. And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that her remake of George Jones' "A Picture Of Me (Without You)" is pure perfection. She is truly one of the greats.

But Lorrie is so much more than great 90's (and beyond!) Country Music. She fought tooth and toenail to get to where she is and didn't play politics or games to get there. She did it Lorrie's way, and I have so much respect for her for that! In addition, she has done a remarkable job of keeping the memory of her late husband Keith Whitley alive. And she is synonymous with Nashville Hot Chicken- in fact, she has been dubbed the "Queen of Hot Chicken!" How amazing is that?! We talked about all of these aspects, as well as her forthcoming book, THREE future musical projects, and more!

We are so lucky to have Lorrie play a part in the amazing Free Concert Series Presented by Luminary Hotel & Co. Monday night at the Caloosa Sound Amphitheater. Tickets are going FAST- you do need a ticket, even for the free general admission area- and this is a show you will regret missing, so get your tickets before they're gone! There is a link here.

I would like to say a MAJOR thank you to Lorrie Morgan for spending so much time chatting with me today. Queen indeed!
