I remember back in the 1990's seeing pictures of Country star Rhett Akins with his adorable little boy. Fast forward to 2012... that adorable little boy is now all grown up and released his own song, a rockin' Country song called "Something To Do With My Hands." That song was a marginal hit, peaking at number 15 on the charts, and was followed by "Beer With Jesus," which also had marginal success peaking at 19.

But then came the game changer, "It Goes Like This." "It Goes Like This" was co-written by Rhett Akins recorded by that adorable-little-boy-turned-grown-man Thomas Rhett, and that song went on to be a big number one hit. Fast forward one more time to present day, Thomas Rhett now has 16 number one hits under hit belt, is a Country Music Superstar, and his dad Thomas Rhett has gone on to write some of the biggest hits in Country, not only for Thomas Rhett, but in Country Music in general.

Talk about a powerful father-son combination!!

Rhett Akins and Thomas Rhett have written plenty of songs together, but last weekend at the Opry, they debuted a song that they wrote together called "Things Dads Do," and the song was just released yesterday. Being the week of Father's Day, the timing of the release of this song is so perfect. And the song is pretty perfect too! Check it out...
