I had not idea what it was the first time I saw it on a menu...CHARCUTERIE BOARD! I mean, first of all, how the heck do you pronounce it?! (shar-KOO-tuh-ree) Soon I realized it's one of my favorite things in the world!

Charcuterie is the art of preserving meat and the name comes from the French chair for meat and cuit for cooked. Technically, a charcuterie board is a selection of meats surrounded by foods that complement those meats, most commonly fruits, nuts, crackers, and dips.

The 2021 Thanksgiving is special because last year not so many people got together. This year, a few Food Fads are emerging and a colorful, delicous Charcuterie board is shaping up to be just the center piece many are looking for! You can also change it up to have a dcorative vegetable tray or just cheese tray.

You can have your local grocery store deli put one together for you, or do it yourself. My Daughter got super creative and made the above veggie tray for us!

Here are a few ideas for you:

Here are some fun ideas you could do with your kids or maybe you want to get a little more creative!
