As everyone prepares to ring in a brand new year, it's time to look back on the music that defined 2024 with our annual iHeartRadio Rewind.

From songs featuring catchy lyrics like "that's that me espresso" and the cultural phenomenon that was Brat Summer to surprise album drops and record-setting festival performances, 2024 has been a big year for fresh music from not just fan-favorite and established artists but exciting new musicians making their mark on the industry.

To determine the most popular songs of the year, iHeartRadio looked at the total audience spins (TAS) and the streams from iHeartRadio stations across the country as well as on the iHeartRadio app.

The five biggest songs of the year captured the hearts of millions of listeners, with nearly a billion TAS each for "Agora Hills" by Doja Cat, "Lose Control" by Teddy Swims, "Lovin On Me" by Jack Harlow, "Beautiful Things" by Benson Boone and "Espresso" by Sabrina Carpenter.

Carpenter herself had a banner year, earning not just two tracks in the Top 10 overall songs of 2024 but being named the top artist of the entire year with over 2.3 billion TAS, beating artists like Taylor Swift, SZA, Doja Cat and Morgan Wallen.
