Jury selection is moving forward in the trial of alleged would-be Trump assassin Ryan Routh in a Fort Pierce federal courtroom. Judge Aileen Cannon is allowing Routh to represent himself, but his court-appointed lawyers are on standby. While three groups of 60 potential jurors were gathering this morning, Routh was running by the judge questions that he wanted to ask them about. They included their views on the war in Gaza and talk of the U.S. acquiring Greenland. Cannon said those questions were irrelevant and "off base." According to those in the courtroom, most of the questions submitted by prosecutors were approved, but the judge called others "politically charged," and said they had no relevance in the case.
Routh is accused of attempting to assassinate then-Presidential candidate Trump at his West Palm Beach golf course last September.
