Trump Names New Interim NASA Administrator

President Donald Trump has named Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy to be the interim NASA administrator.

Trump posting on Truth Social, "Sean will be a fantastic leader of the ever more important Space Agency, even if only for a short period of time."

Duffy wrote on X he is “Honored to accept this mission. Time to take over space. Let’s launch.”

Duffy, a former congressman and reality TV star, is in charge of a transportation department of 55,000 employees and oversees the nation’s highways, railroads and airspace and sets safety standards for trains, cars and trucks.

Duffy replaces Janet Petro as the interim head of NASA, and he is not the only member of the president’s Cabinet to take up an additional job.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio also serves as interim national security adviser and national archivist.
