Morgan Wallen lit up Soho House in Nashville, Tennessee last night (February 21) with a surprise pop-up performance for iHeartradio. According to American Songwriter, the GRAMMY-nominated hitmaker took the stage with close friends and fellow artists Ernest and HARDY, adding to the unexpected nature of the event. The trio performed unplugged renditions of Wallen's "More Than My Hometown," HARDY's "TRUCK BED," and more.
During the performance, Wallen debuted a new single that, as of February 22, remains untitled. Individuals in attendance captured footage from the event, sharing the masterpiece-in-progress with fans who were not lucky enough to be there. And so the lyrics go:
"But the truth is, the 90 proof is telling me lies, lies, lies. Look into my eyes, eyes, eyes. I'm still a fool for you. Nothin' I wouldn't do for you..." Could the highly-anticipated single join Wallen's growing list of chart-toppers? We'll have to wait and see what the "You Proof" standout has in store for this one.
As if releasing hit after hit wasn't enough entertainment for the world, just last week, Wallen announced that he would be opening his own bar in Downtown Nashville. Joining artists like Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, and Jason Aldean on Broadway, "This Bar and Tennessee Kitchen" will be located right next to the legendary Ryman Auditorium off Fourth Avenue.
Information regarding when the new track will drop was not revealed as fans await the next surprise performance from the country standout. In the meantime, fans can reminisce Wallen's extensive song catalog on iHeartRadio!
