Historic Boca Raton Resort Hiring 600 Workers At Series Of Career Fairs

A South Florida resort that first opened in the 1920s and was used as an Army barracks in World War Two is hiring 600 workers.

The former Boca Raton Resort, now named simply "The Boca Raton," is undergoing a $175 million renovation featuring new restaurants, bars and spas. That's why they're holding a series of career fairs for full and part time positions.

The resort, which played host to the G7 Summit in 2004, is looking for chefs, servers, bartenders, concierge, housekeepers, massage therapists, lifeguards among others.

The first job fair happens Thursday inside the resort's Mizner Conference Center.

If you miss that one, more opportunities will come on November 2nd and the 9th. They all start at 8:30 a.m. and run until 7 p.m.

List of all positions available:

· culinary (chef, sous chef, cooks, pastry)

· food & beverage (servers, bartenders, host/hostess, runner, stewarding)

· engineering (electrician, painter, carpenter, drivers)

· guest experience (concierge, front desk, call center, etc.)

· housekeeping

· member relations, marketing, finance, administrative assistant

· recreation (lifeguard, locker-room attendant)

· spa (massage therapist, hair stylist, etc.)

· retail / sales

· management positions across departments
