Broward Commissioner Declares "Kodak Black Day" Without Commission Approval

Broward Commissioners expected to set clear rules on proclamations after Commissioner Dale Holness declares June 11th Kodak Black Day. Mayor Steve Geller says he doesn't want to punish Holness, who signed the proclamation as "Mayor" during a charity basketball game in Coral Springs, but he does want to specify rules. The proclamation praises Black for his charitable works. He was freed from prison in January after former President Trump commuted his 4-year sentence on a federal firearm charge. He was placed on probation in April after pleading guilty to the assault of a teenage girl.
