DeSantis Blames Recent Coronavirus Spike On Noncompliance At Bars

Things will have to change at bars before the governor will let them resume normal operations.

Governor Ron DeSantis yesterday, in Pensacola, blamed the recent spike in coronavirus cases on bars that were ignoring social distancing guidelines.

He says noncompliance was so widespread, he instructed regulators to do what they had to do to ensure compliance.

He adds that he hopes to lift restrictions on bars as soon as owners show they'll be stricter about enforcing the guidelines.

Meanwhile, despite the recent spike in cases, DeSantis said he thinks Florida will still be able to host the Republican National Convention this August in Jacksonville.
