Miami-Dade Targets June First To Reopen Beaches And Hotels

Miami Beach Commissioners give the A-OK to reopen beaches and hotels June 1st. The target date comes two weeks after retail stores and museums resumed operations and 5 days after restaurants reopen in the city. City Manager Jimmy Morales says beach goers will not likely be required to wear masks, but they will be required to maintain social distancing rules and regulations. The reopening of Miami Beach beaches triggering a chain reaction of coastal cities reopening their beaches June 1st as well. Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez will be meeting with medical experts this weekend to create rules for the reopening.
