TAMPA -- President Trump has approved Governor DeSantis' request for a disaster declaration related to COVID-19.
The White House says federal assistance is available to areas affected by coronavirus since January 20th, at the state and local level. Among other things, the declaration makes funding available for crisis counseling across the state.
Additional disaster declarations may be made if requested by the state and assessments show a need.
