Pinellas County Tells Residents to Stay at Home

CLEARWATER -- Pinellas County commissioners have posted a stay at home order, going into effect Thursday.

Commissioners voted unanimously for the order at an emergency meeting. Commissioners say that non-essential businesses that are not practicing proper social distancing guidelines set by the CDC need to shut down.

“People need to heed the warning, or we will shut you down,"administrator Barry Burton said.
