Husband charged with murdering wife now charged in children's deaths

A Marion County man already accused of murdering his wife is now accused of murdering her 4 children- 2 of whom were his.

Deputies say Michael Jones Jr. had admitted to beating his wife Casei to death with a baseball bat in July. He's now charged with strangling his 2 stepchildren soon after and then drowning his own children. The children were between the ages of 10 and 1.

Investigators say Jones kept the bodies in the family's Summerfield home and then his van for weeks before driving the bodies to Georgia where he was arrested.

Until now Jones was only accused of killing his wife. He's now facing four additional first-degree murder charges.
