There's a woman in China who went to bed one night with nausea and ringing in her hears. When she woke up the next morning, she couldn't hear her (male) partner's voice. She went to her doctor, who is female, and could hear the doctor's voice loud and clear!
Turns out, the woman had developed a rare hearing condition that didn't register lower-pitched sounds. And since men tend to have lower voices than women, she can't hear most men speaking.
And this is a problem because...? I kid, I kid!
But seriously, is this disease contagious? Can she come sneeze on me or something?
