Bob Iger has stepped down as the CEO of Disney.
Iger, who oversaw Disney's acquisition of Twenty-First Century Fox and the launch of Disney Plus, says that "this is an optimal time to transition to a new CEO."
Bob Chapek is the new CEO. Iger will stay on through the end of next year as the company's Executive Chairman.
Some people think his next move is a presidential run. He already has a big endorsement. Last year, Oprah Winfrey said, "If Bob Iger had decided to run for president, I would be canvassing in Iowa right now. I would be going door to door."
If he would decided to run in 2024 and he picks Baby Yoda as his running mate, he would be a shoo-in.
