What a collision at home plate!

Los Angeles Angels catcher Jonathan Lucroy had to be taken to the hospital yesterday (Sunday) after a scary collision at home plate against the Houston Astros.

Jake Marisnick tagged up at 3rd base and was trying to score when he barreled into Lucroy right as the throw arrived. Lucroy took a direct shot to his head and was knocked out. He was carted off the field and taken to the hospital with a possible concussion and broken nose. Marisnick was first called safe, but the play was reviewed and umpired overturned the call because he failed to make an attempt to avoid Lucroy.
