The Nation mourns former President George H.W. Bush

This week the nation mourns former President George H.W. Bush, who died at home in Houston on Friday night at the age of 94. The 41st president will lie in state at the Capitol Rotunda in Washington, D.C. beginning Monday afternoon through Wednesday. According to the Architect of the Capitol's website, Former President Bush will be the 12th president and 35th person to be honored in such a manner. Wednesday has been declared a national day of mourning by Donald J Trump. A state funeral for Bush will be held that morning at the Washington National Cathedral. On Thursday, a funeral service will be held for Bush at St. Martin's Episcopal Church in Houston. After, his casket will be transported by train to College Station, Texas where a procession will travel to the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum. He will be buried behind the library complex in the family plot next to his wife, former first lady, Barbara, and their daughter, Robin.
