Keith Urban Pays Musical Tribute to 2017's Lost Artists

As Nashville said hello to 2018, Keith Urban gave one final goodbye to the artists who passed away in 2017.

The country megastar headlined the city’s Jack Daniels’ Music City Midnight: New Year’s Eve in Nashville celebration for the second-straight year, and he once again took a beat to honor the artists who the world lost over the past year.

Keith began the tribute with Soundgarden's “Black Hole Sun” to honor late frontman Chris Cornell.

The performance also featured “Midnight Rider” for Gregg Allman, “Johnny B. Goode” for Chuck Berry, “Tulsa Time” for Don Williams, “Wichita Lineman” for Glen Campbell, “My Town” for Montgomery Gentry’s Troy Gentry, “Back in Black” for AC/DC’s Malcolm Young and “Free Fallin’” for Tom Petty.

The evening also included performances by Maren Morris, Cheap Trick, Carly Pearce, Jonny P, Larkin Poe and the Fisk Jubilee Singers.
