A restaurant on the famous Worth Avenue for over 80 years may soon be forced to close for good.

Ta-boo has been a favorite spot for the rich and famous over the last many decades. People like Celine Dion, Frank Sinatra, even President John F. Kennedy have dined there but the owner tells CBS 12 News that he was slapped with an eviction notice earlier this month.

"They gave me five day notice. We are obviously fighting against that and it's now in the court."

Franklyn DeMarco says he's been told his lease would be extended, but that hasn't happened.

The President of the Worth Avenue Association is asking the Mayor of Palm Beach to help prevent Ta-boo from being shut down, calling it a significant part of the town's history.

The landlord, however, claims the restaurant owes more than $500,000 in back rent and they have signed a lease with a new tenant.
