Brightline's West Palm Beach-Orlando Route May Not Be Available Until 2023

Brightline train service between West Palm Beach to Orlando looks to be delayed.

A spokesperson for the higher-speed rail line says while they still hope to open the route next year, safety inspections are expected to take a couple of months once the construction is wrapped up. That could mean passengers won't be able to take the trains from West Palm to Central Florida until 2023.

The line between Miami and West Palm Beach has been suspended due to the pandemic since March 2020 and Brightline says service is not expected to resume before at least the end of this year. However, construction on the extension has been ongoing.
