State Senator Annette Taddeo Holds "Unemployment Tele-Town Hall"

With at least 130-thousand Floridians filing for unemployment daily the system is completely overwhelmed and malfunctioning. This morning State Senator Annette Taddeo is holding an "Unemployment Tele-Town Hall" with Ken Lawson- director of the Department of Economic Opportunity to discuss what the agency is doing to speed up the claims process. Taddeo wants people to be able to file by mail to ease online congestion. She says the the state should extend unemployment from 12-to-25 weeks and distribute an extra $600 a week for four months on top of the standard $275-dollar payout.
