Mosquito Spraying Continues Amid Coronavirus Crisis

Just like grocery store employees and trash collectors, mosquito sprayers find themselves on the front-lines of the coronavirus response. Mosquito spraying continues but it's not business as usual. Some trap locations have had to be changed to reduce interaction between field operators and residents. Dr. William Petrie with Miami-Dade mosquito control says coronavirus fears may actually limit the amount of mosquito born diseases we see this summer, thanks to quarantines and travel restrictions. Coronavirus cannot be transmitted by mosquitoes.
