Pres. Trump Cancels Plans To Host G7 At His Doral Resort Amid Controversy

President Trump Suggests His Doral, Florida Resort As Site For 2020 G7 Meeting

The International meeting once planned for South Florida will soon have a new home.

President Trump says he may host the G7 Summit at Camp David, after canceling plans over the weekend to stage the event at Trump National Doral in Miami.

He cited "irrational hostility" of the media and Democrats for the change in plans. The president came under criticism for selecting his own property to host the event next year.

House Democrats also threatened to investigate how Trump's resort was selected in the first place.

In first choosing Trump National Doral, the president said it would be offered at no profit or zero cost if legally possible, something he says the media ignored.
