Lawmaker Asks For FDLE Probe Into Jeffrey Epstein's Work Release

A state senator is requesting an FDLE investigation into the circumstances surrounding Jeffrey Epstein's work release.

Democrat Senator Lauren Book wrote a letter to Governor Ron DeSantis, asking for a Florida Department of Law Enforcement probe amid reports that Epstein was allowed to have sex with females while he was serving time in West Palm Beach on a prostitution-related charge involving underage girls.

The financier left the jail for 12 hours a day to work from his office, but there are claims that more than work occurred.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office says Ric Bradshaw shares Senator Book's concerns, which is why he has ordered an internal investigation to determine if in fact the system failed 11 years ago and hold those accountable for any failures and ensure that it won't happen again.

Meanwhile, Epstein is appealing a federal judge's decision denying him bond as he awaits trial on charges of trafficking underage girls for sex at his homes in New York and Palm Beach.
