A Chinese woman charged with trespassing at President Trump's Palm Beach estate wants to represent herself in court.
33-year old Yujing Zhang told a judge on Tuesday, through an interpreter, that she doesn't want an attorney.
The judge said that was a bad idea before ordering the woman to undergo a psychiatric evaluation. Zhang then told the judge that she didn't want to see a doctor. The judge said that she must be seen before he will decide on her request to turn down legal representation.
Prosecutors say Zhang was carrying a thumb drive with malware, four cell phones and two Chinese passports while lying to Secret Service agents in an attempt to get into Mar-a-Lago last March, as the president was staying at his estate.
In Zhang's hotel room was a device that detects hidden cameras and eight grand in cash.
She has pleaded not guilty to trespassing and lying to federal agents.
