Kelsea Ballerini Named Fifth Coach on 'The Voice'

Kelsea Ballerini is officially joining The Voice.

The country superstar will serve as the new fifth coach on the hit NBC show’s first-ever The Comeback Stage. When the show launches its 15th season on September 24, The Comeback Stage will also make its debut on YouTube, The Voice Official App, Instagram TV, Facebook and NBC.com, and Kelsea will be at the helm.

“It’s been such a new, fulfilling challenge and I’ve been beyond inspired by the artists I’ve gotten to meet and work with. I can’t wait for you to fall in love with them,” she says of the new opportunity. The Comeback Stage will feature six artists who receive a second chance at re-entering the competition after not making a team during the Blind Auditions. Kelsea will mentor the artists and narrow the field down to two Comeback Stage finalists who will compete for the first Twitter Instant Save of the season during the Live Playoffs Results show. The winning artist will then decide which team they would like to join moving forward in the competition.

In addition to Kelsea, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Jennifer Hudson, and Kelly Clarkson serve as the Season 15 coaches.
