Lifetime Olympics Ban Overturned For 28 Russian Athletes

More than two-dozen Russian athletes who were banned from the Olympics for life will now be allowed to compete in this month's Winter Games.  The Court of Arbitration for Sport today overturned suspensions given to 28 Russian athletes.  The International Olympic Committee banned them for doping at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

The Court of Arbitration said evidence in their cases was insufficient to prove doping.  The lifetime bans will be fully overturned.  The 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea begin February 9th.
