Homemade Solar Eclipse Viewer

Solar eclipse glasses sold out pretty quickly at most retailers, and most libraries that were handing them out for free have probably also run out.

But it's ok! Here's a quick video on how to make an eclipse viewer out of items you probably have at home (or at the office).

The idea is to make a pinhole projector, so you can see the eclipse without staring directly at the sun.

Seriously guys, DON'T LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE SUN. NASA warns that looking at the sun for as little as 90 seconds--even broken up into smaller increments--can cause permanent (IRREVERSIBLE!) eye damage. For real, it's not worth it. Blindness would be a real bummer of a way to start your week.

So without further ado, here's how to make an eclipse viewer out of household items. VOILA!
